SIM Technology Group Limited (“SIM Technology Group” or “the Company”; SEHK: 2000), a leading mobile handset and wireless communication module solutions developer, today announced the promotion of Mr. Simon Wong to become President of the Company.

Mr. Simon Wong is the founder of Shanghai Simcom Limited (“Shanghai Simcom”). Shanghai Simcom is a wholly owned subsidiary of SIM Technology Group, dedicated to the handset solutions and wireless communications module design and development.

“In the past, Mr. Simon Wong has contributed significantly to our Group’s business development in China.” Madam Yeung Man Ying, Chairman of SIM Technology Group said, “I believe under his leadership, his technical expertise and strong vision in the global telecommunications industry would help boost our international business further.”

Mr. Raymond Tsang, Chief Executive Officer of SIM Technology Group, said, “Mr. Simon Wong and I have been working together for a long time. He is strong at identifying market needs and is highly innovative. Under his leadership, the Group’s wireless communications module solutions business recorded a strong growth in revenue by 423% in the first half of 2006. I will continue to support Simon in his new role and assist in managing the Group’s operations.”

Mr. Simon Wong obtained a bachelor’s degree in science from Boston University in 1995, specializing in electrical engineering. He has 11 years of experience in the electronics and telecommunications industry, plus a wealth of experience in investment and business management.
At the same time, Mr. Wong Cho Tung resigned from the position of President in SIM Technology Group, and has become Chairman and President in Shanghai SIM Technology Limited, responsible for managing the business and operation of the Group’s subsidiaries in China.
